We have one more day to explore further out of town tomorrow before heading south to Phnom Penh. Almost the two week countdown. Has it really been 2 months?
How is everyone's holiday going so far? We love to personal emails we get from each and every one of you, but could always hear more. Email us! Jamiegorton@yahoo.com or nbnguyen1030@gmail.com
Love these pictures!! Is that one at the top someone who massages with fish?
ReplyDeleteIt is these Tanks all over the town with benches around the edge. You sit and put your feet in. Inside the fish suck the dirt off your feet just like they do to sharks and whales in the ocean :)
ReplyDeleteThese were everywhere and the people running the shops solicitited like crazy anytime you walked past. You can image what they would sale to get you interested. Mostly overweight English/French people using the service...
Hi guys,
ReplyDeleteAs always- intrigued and fascinated by your stories and pictures. I have nothing to compare them to except all of the visits to far away grandma's house in Florida!! I recall it was 90 and there were lizards, palm trees and alligators!
Two months is a long time to be awayfrom home. I can't really imagine not being able to sleep in my own bed with my own pillow for two weeks let alone more than two months! You guys have some pretty tough intestinal fortitude, to say the least!! We haven't heard that entir story yet!! Ngoc????
Not much happening in upstate ny. We can't even complain about the weather. Today I was in between meetings without a coat. I guess it's not that unusual not to have much snow before Christmas, but the last few years we have had lots! We think we have someone to shovel the sidewalk for us. We have a plow guy, but we're getting so sedentary, we don't even want to shovel!! Truthfully, I don't want to risk hurting my back now that it's o much better.
Of course we're getting ready for hannukah, Christmas eve, rowan's birthday, Louis coming home and Christmas. So much to do, so little time. It will be the 2nd year in a row that the boys aren't home for Christmas. Last year it was the blizzard that hit NYC and Brooklyn. All I remember about that is you guys telling us to leave Syracuse at 6 am and we would "make it" before the storm hit!!! We might have "made it" there, but we certainly would not have "made it" OUT!! Unless we took a tuk tuk, course!
We will wear our Santa hats and tango with u guys on Christmas. The real celebration will have to be in sunny Oakland in April. Wish Louis could be there at the same time.
Be safe and love each other every day. Miss you sooooo much! Love, mama.
Ngoc and Jame,
ReplyDeleteI didn't mean to leave out how powerful your pictures are. The atrocities are just so inconceivable. mama
